Shawn Lee Skinner, born May 7, 1971 in Fairfield, Iowa, passed away at home surrounded by
family on January 5, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.
He spent his life and time in service to others. He was a Veteran, an EMT, and firefighter. He
leaves behind his wife, Liz, their son Noah, their daughter Scarlet, his mother Dixie, and two
sisters, Drew and Wendy. He had tons of extended family and was preceded in passing by his
grandparents, his father, an aunt and uncle, and two cousins. He had amazing friends. He is
missed.
We will host a celebration of his life and birthday on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2pm at the
Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity building with a pot luck event.
