Betty Joan Hall, 90, of Ottumwa, died at 1:35 a.m. September 26, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society – Ottumwa.
She was born March 11, 1936 in Ottumwa to William Sunday and Margaret Lucille Twedell Cooper. She married Glen Orville “Junior” Hall on June 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death May 18, 2022.
Growing up in Ottumwa, she attended the Dahlonega School.
Betty had attended Ottumwa Community Church and had been involved with the Dahlonega School reunion.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Debbie) Hall of Blakesburg and Lori (Sandy) Mahood of Boone; 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Kimberlie) Hall, Katlynn (Kody) Sammons, Elizabeth (Michael) Umland and Marlena Terrell; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jacob Hall; and sisters, Charlotte Stober and Joyce Hazelwood.
Visitation will be open after 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 6th at Reece Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 7th at Chisman Cemetery with Dennis Durst officiating.
