Fairfield Community School District Superintendent Zach Wigle has shared the first photo renderings to Ottumwa Radio of the planned Fairfield Middle School expansion, offering the community a visual preview of what the new facility could look like. The renderings were provided by Wigle and FEH Design.
The images come as the district moves forward with a $26.5 million Phase 1 plan to construct a 50,000 square foot academic addition to the north of the current middle school, serving students in grades 5 through 8. The project leverages existing SAVE funds and bonding to avoid property tax increases — a path the district chose after three unsuccessful General Obligation bond attempts.
