Barbara Ann Allman, 57, of Ottumwa died at 11:58 a.m. April 1, 2026 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
She was born May 28, 1968 in Ottumwa to Michael and Joann Burkholder Lemberger. She married Charles William Allman June 14, 1997 and he preceded her in death July 13, 2015.
A 1986 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Barbara worked at K-Mart.
She enjoyed painting and reading. Barbara loved animals such as birds, fish and cats.
Surviving are her children, Alex Gates of Ottumwa and Ashley Johnson of Knoxville; her mother, Joann Lemberger; a brother, Tim Lemberger of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a son, Adam Gates.
Her body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
