Mike Naig is seeking a third term as Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture.
In a statement, Naig said his focus as secretary has always been on delivering results for Iowa.
Among the successes during his tenure, Naig pointed to expanded conservation efforts across the state and saving families money at the gas pump through support of biofuels like ethanol.
Naig is the only Republican candidate, with Democrats Chris Jones of Iowa City and Wade Dooley of Marshalltown announcing their candidacies last week.
