Ashley Gollihar, 40, of Oskaloosa, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Mahaska Health in Oskaloosa.
Ashley Loella Gollihar was born on October 8, 1985, in Carmel, California. The family moved to Oskaloosa when Ashley was a youngster, and she attended and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 2004. She furthered her education while enrolled at Kirkwood Community College and later, in the nursing program at Indian Hills Community College. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant at White Oak Estates and the Christian Opportunity Center. Most recently, she worked at the Wood Iron Grill. In 2021, Ashley was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. She will always be remembered as the most gracious, loving, caring, and giving individual. She dearly loved her dachshund, Mabel.
Her family includes her parents, Sharon and Randal Horn of Oskaloosa; her siblings: Chris (Alicia) Gollihar of Fremont, CA, Tara (Brittany) Gollihar of Sebring, FL, Lindsy Gollihar of Phoenix, OR, Samantha (Nick) Mauer of Oskaloosa, Amber (Andy) Denburger of Bussey, IA, Dustin Horn of Mountain Home, AR, and Tonya Horn of Oskaloosa; her maternal grandmother, Donalee Cook of Tombstone, AZ; 13 nieces and nephews; her aunts: Patty (Bill) Patterson of New Sharon, IA and Cookie Bidegain of Tucson, AZ; an uncle, Mike (Marilyn) Gollihar of Monterey, CA.
In addition to her maternal grandfather, Hank T. Cook, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Wanda Gollihar, and two uncles, Mike Cook and Todd Bidegain.
Memorial Services for Ashley will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Lifehouse Community Church with Pastor Adam Kyle officiating. The family will greet visitors from 9:30 a.m. to service time on Monday morning. Memorial contributions can be made in her parents’ name and will be designated later. Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with Ashley’s final arrangements.
