– Celebrating its 10th year in downtown Des Moines,
Christkindlmarket Des Moines (CDM) will take place Dec 4 – 7 and Dec 11 – 14, 2025 at Principal Park.
Event organizers are pleased to recognize the continued support of the MidAmerican Energy Foundation.
“Christkindlmarket Des Moines is really a ‘do-not-miss’ event with unique seasonal cultural programming and activities for all ages to enjoy,” said Kathryn Kunert, MidAmerican Energy Foundation board member. Kunert continued, “We like to be involved with events that provide
an opportunity for employees to volunteer their time and talent through the company’s CARES program in addition to financial support. Community engagement helps us to have a greater impact while connecting with our customers and partners.”
MidAmerican’s CARES program supports the communities the company serves – through employee volunteers, partnerships with local organizations, donations and more. CARES stands for Community Enhancement, Arts and Culture, Environmental Respect, Education/STEM and Safety.
Visit Christkindlmarket Des Moines to enjoy the holiday season as you participate in a 750-year- old tradition. Shop regional vendors selling old-world, hand-crafted products from wooden vendor stalls; enjoy lively performances of polka music, traditional dance and choirs in Yuletide Hall; participate in children’s activities; sip Glühwein (warm, mulled wine) and savor European beer.
