In the early hours of October 6, 2025, a Wapello County Deputy on routine patrol discovered a Nissan Frontier in a ditch at the intersection of River Road and 110th Avenue.
Upon investigation, it was found that the vehicle had not yet been reported stolen, and the owner was unaware that their vehicle had been taken.
The situation escalated the following evening when, on October 7 at approximately 10:03 p.m., Wapello County Deputies arrested 18-year-old Brayden Michael Freddy Morrow from Ottumwa, Iowa.
He faces charges of Theft in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, as well as Driving While Suspended.
Morrow is currently being held in the Wapello County Jail with a bond set at $5,000.
