Police say an Ottumwa man ignored multiple no contact orders and continually harassed a woman which culminated in him crashing his vehicle into her car.
43-year-old Timothy Jordan has been charged with stalking (Class C felony), violation of a no contact order (simple misdemeanor), and third-degree harassment.
Police say Jordan violated three no contact orders by sending a “very large number” of text messages to the victim. Court records say the messages contained inquiries regarding the victim’s location, insults, threats to assault acquaintances of the victim, and pleas to work on their relationship.
Additionally, Jordan is accused of showing up at various places, including the victim’s mother’s residence.
On May 30th, court documents say Jordan rammed his vehicle into the victim’s on East Second Street in Ottumwa.
Jordan was arrested on June 2nd and transported to the Wapello County Jail. His bond has been set at $10,000.
Jordan has a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 12th.
