Ottumwa Toastmasters met at the Ottumwa YMCA on Monday June 23rd to elect officers.
Ben Trachsel was elected President, Louis Bill Cortesio Vice President of Education, Alvin Twase Vice President of Membership, Kaelee Fountain Vice President of Public Relations, Kevin Kelly Secretary-Treasurer, William Eddy as Sergeant of arms. Their terms are for one year starting July 1st 2025.
Ottumwa Toastmasters meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 P.M. at the Ottumwa YMCA or via zoom.
As a club they practice public speaking skills and learn to listen, think, and speak. Membership is open to the public, for anyone over 18. For more information about Toastmasters one can go to their website at www.toastmasters.com
Ottumwa Toastmasters has promoted building confidence in speaking for any occasion and developing leadership skills for over 76 years in Ottumwa and the surrounding area. They are presently seeking new members and encourage anyone to visit one of their meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday at 6:00 P.M. at the Ottumwa YMCA.
One does not need to be a member of the YMCA to attend Toastmasters meetings.
