Myrty Frances Leon, 87, of Ottumwa, died at 5:50 a.m. June 24, 2025 at her home.
She was born August 20, 1937 in Clay County, TN to Domer and Dorothy Hammock Dillon. Frances married Tommy R. Leon on December 4, 1976 and he preceded her in death on December 2, 2010.
Frances was a wonderful wife and mother. She had worked for Service Master for 8 years and also did private house cleaning. Frances was a member of Calvary Open Bible Church.
Surviving are children, Glenda (Fred) Widmer of Ottumwa, Dean (Terry) Moody of Cookeville, TN, Tami (Robert) Greathouse of Deep River, IA, Cindy (Keith) Sturdivant of Independence, KY, Marty Leon of Tucson, AZ and Tony (Sheri) Leon of Middletown, OH; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Willard Dillon of Indianapolis, IN, Alma Crabtree of Mason, OH, Faye Ledbedder and Judy Loftis, all of Tennessee; and a very special friend, Carol Bainbridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 great-great-granddaughters, Cali DeVillanueva and Cylie Henson; and siblings, Brenda Null, Bobby, A.L. and Billy Dillon.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Thursday June 26th at Reece Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday June 27th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Neil Anderson officiating. Burial will be Agency Cemetery.
