Delorris Lanman, 84, of Floris died at 8:10 a.m. January 27, 2025 at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.
She was born March 29, 1940 in Ottumwa to Charles and Bertha Kathleen “Kate” Utterback Fitzsimmons. Delorris married Raymond Russell Lanman Jr. on July 29, 1966 and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2023.
A 1958 graduate of Cardinal High School, Delorris had worked at J.B. Plastics, Plexico, and Harper Brush. She also cleaned homes and had worked at Denny’s Home Oil.
Delorris was a member of O.B. Nelson Unit #3 American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Rick (Brenda) Fitzsimmons of Ottumwa, Allan (Barbara) Lanman of Hedrick, Kenny (Valerie) Lanman of Eldon and Christina (Lloyd) Hopkins of Floris, 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Dakota, Colton (Jessica), Shelby, Elizabeth (Tue), Charli (Colton), C.J. (Bre) and Dani (Chris); 5 great-grandchildren, Leonardo, Raelyn, Hunter, Brynlee and Mateo; her siblings, Kenneth Fitzsimmons, Beverly Roberts, Drucilla Chickering and Dean (Betty) Fitzsimmons; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Etta Mae Evans, George, Chuck, Bob and Richard “Butch” Fitzsimmons.
Visitation will be open at 1 p.m. Friday, January 31st at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1st at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Clark officiating.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
