Katherine Lynn Paulus, 70, of Ottumwa died at 3:15 p.m. October 20, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
She was born May 3, 1956 in Honolulu, HI to Wilbur and Donna Kirk Black.
Kathe was a 1974 graduate of Ottumwa High School. When her dad was in the service they had to move a lot and she had fond memories of Hawaii and Guam.
She loved gardening, fishing, sewing, dogs and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Carrie Paulus (Ryan) and their children, Bennett, Huxley and Kolson all of Newton, Casey (Erik) Zimmeht and their children, Elliott, Sailor and Nixon all of Ottumwa and Cody (Katy) Paulus and their children, Bodey and Callan all of Ottumwa; her siblings, Chris (Kris) Black of Ottumwa and Gina (Kevin) Throckmorton of Longboat Key, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Kim Maher and infant sister, Sherry; and several of her dogs including her special ones, Charlie, Guinness and Dewey.
Her body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
