An Ottumwa woman with priors attempted to burglarize a Casey’s and was allegedly in possession of drugs.
23-year-old Allyson Orth was charged with possession of a controlled substance – marijuana – 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine – 1st offense, and 3rd degree theft – enhanced two priors convictions – property not exceeding $750.
On October 1st at 11:15 p.m., court records say Orth stole alcoholic beverages from Casey’s on 1001 East Main Street. Authorities say the stolen items costed $11.18.
Court records say Orth has two prior theft convictions.
During the arrest, officers located .3 grams of methamphetamine and 2.2 grams of marijuana in Orth’s front left pant pocket.
Orth was transported to the Wapello County Jail. She has a $2,000 bond and a preliminary hearing on October 18.
