Governor-elect Rob Sand has named a former state government administrator and a union leader to oversee his transition into office.
Elisabeth Buck led previous transitions for Governors Chet Culver and Tom Vilsack. Morgan Miller is the political director of the Iowa State Education Association. Sand and his transition team have 10 weeks before he takes the oath of office interview prospects to lead state agencies and serve in other areas of state government.
Sand’s team has also announced a new website — www.iowaforall.com — that outlines job opportunities in state government, including service state state boards and commissions.
Earlier this week, Governor Reynolds said she’s committed to “a strong transition of power” to Governor-elect Sand. Reynolds said “it’s time to work together for Iowa” and her staff “will work to see that the incoming administration is ready for its first day in office.”
