Marlene Farnsworth, 93, of Ottumwa, died at 8:35 a.m. September 28, 2024 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born August 17, 1931 in Mystic, IA to Charles and Martha Barbaglia Kratzke. She married James Farnsworth November 11, 1956. He preceded her in death November 26, 2015.
A graduate of Mystic High School, Marlene enjoyed playing cards and traveling.
Surviving are her children, Jim (Brenda) Farnsworth of Elkhorn, NE and Marianne McClure of Ottumwa; 4 grandchildren, Mindy, Jeremy, Keaton and Nathan; 5 great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Jordin, Kaitlyn, Cruze and Landry; 1 great-great grandchild, Stevey; siblings, Julie Harris of Ventura, CA, Karen Vermeer of Pella, Linda Meyers of Craig, CO and Johnny Moore of Centerville.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Farnsworth; a nephew, Todd Downing and a sister, Roseanne Barbaglia.
Graveside services and burial will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 2nd, at Shaul Cemetery with Doug McAntire officiating.
