During the City Council meeting Tuesday night, a public forum was held to update about tournaments at the sports complex. Several members of the public were in attendance. Bobby Laughlin addressed the council about plans, that would begin next year, for events at the sports complex on everything from school contacts, concessions, and tournament schedules with between 10-20 teams competing each weekend. There was also talk of looking into additional options for concessions with the amount of people expected to be in attendance. Another public update is planned for December.
Some other items on the agenda included building permits with all permits getting approval, a new generator and side by side for city use, city hall repair bids, a domestic violence awareness proclamation for October as well as Trick or Treat Night.
