The Van Buren County Community School District announced the death of a high school student on Sunday.
Superintendent Jeremy Hissem says Robert Adams, a junior, was involved in a single-car accident on his way to work early Sunday morning that claimed his life.
Adams was involved in sports and was a member of the student council.
According to Hissem, the district will work with the AEA to provide additional support for staff and students.
Funeral services are pending and will be announced by the district when finalized.
