Iowa Senator Joni Ernst made an appearance at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center during her River to River Tour.
Ernst makes it a priority to visit every county to connect with communities. She has covered majority of the counties in Iowa this year and is currently covering the southeastern area. During her stop in Wapello County, Ernst says she wants Iowans to receive the best healthcare.
On August 22, Ernst visited the Ottumwa Regional Health Center and toured the facility. She will continue to Davis County to present her Small Business of the Week award to Wells Hometown Drug, make her way to Appanoose Manufactured Products in Moulton, and Infinity Health in Monroe County.
On August 20, she stopped by an organic farm and listened to the concerns that organic producers face in Van Buren County. She continued her day in the Climax Molybdenum Chemical Company in Lee County and a rural child care center located in Jefferson County.
Ernst says her mission with the River to River tour is to hear the voices of the people and take it to Washington, D.C.
