An Ottumwa man allegedly engaged a fight using a frying pan.
59-year-old Bobby Fincher was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and public intoxication.
On August 22 at 11:32 a.m, court records say Fincher struck the victim repeatedly with a metal frying pan on the 800 block of Albia Road. Officers located Fincher on 600 Richmond and observed him to have an unsteady balance and an odor of alcohol. Fincher admitted to being intoxicated and refused a preliminary breath test. Authorities say Fincher told them that he would blow over the legal limit.
Fincher was transported to the Wapello County Jail. He has a $2,000 bond
