Richard Leo Hunt, born on January 11th, 1945, in Ottumwa, Iowa, passed away on July 2nd, 2024.
Richard spent his years in the transportation industry as a truck driver, a job he was deeply passionate about. His retirement years found him immersed in woodworking, a hobby that channeled his patience and attention to detail. Each piece he crafted was a testament to his determination and diligence, mirroring the man himself. Beyond his work and hobbies, he worked with Davidson United Shows, which held carnivals in surrounding towns.
He is survived by one son, Richard Hunt Jr. and wife Robin Hunt, and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Susie Langgin, and his wife, Patricia Hunt.
Richard’s body has been cremated with no planned services.
