Troy Oswald, 53, of Oskaloosa, passed away at his home on March 24, 2024.
Troy Alan Oswald, son of Dennis L. Oswald and Betty Jean Puckett, was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 23, 1971. He graduated from East High School in Des Moines in 1990. After graduation, Troy held various jobs in the Des Moines area. He married the love of his life, Susan Renee Anders, on November 25, 1994, in Unionville, Missouri.
For the past 16 years, Troy has lived in Oskaloosa, where he worked for Walmart for the past eight years, primarily fulfilling online grocery orders. Most recently, as of December 1, 2023, he was the team leader in the Auto Center.
Troy’s most significant source of joy in his life was his family. He infinitely cherished spending time with his three grandchildren and sons.
Left to honor Troy’s memory are his family, which includes his wife of almost 30 years, Susan; his two sons: Ray (Whitney) Oswald and Nicholas Oswald, both of Oskaloosa; his three grandchildren: Tristian, Ayden, and Alayna; his mother, Betty Puckett of Pella; a sister Megan (Malakai) Triplett of Grinnell; a brother Michael (Kindal) Donnelly of Pella.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Dennis.
Visitation for Troy will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, after 10:00 a.m., with the family present to greet visitors from 4-6 p.m. at Langkamp Funeral Chapel & Crematory. Memorials may be made to Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter.
