Police: Oskaloosa Man Found with Numerous Drugs

An Oskaloosa man faces numerous drug charges after an arrest on Sunday.

44-year-old Curtis Woods has been charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, 14 counts of failure to affix a drug tax stamp, two counts of possession of a controlled substance – 3rd or subsequent offense, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the Oskaloosa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North E Street on a report of a suspicious male wearing a black sweatshirt and carrying a duffel bag while walking along the timberline on the railroad tracks.

Woods was the man that matched the description of Woods and police say he had a history of violence with law enforcement.

While talking with an officer, Woods mentioned that he had a marijuana pipe in his pocket, along with a small bag of marijuana. The officer then placed Woods under arrest, and a further search revealed 102.6 grams of methamphetamine, 35.7 grams of marijuana, 2 more pipes, and a scale with methamphetamine residue on it.

Woods was transported to the Mahaska County Jail where he is held without bond.
