A southeast Iowa woman was arrested after police say she broke into a home on Monday and assaulted two people.

29-year-old Lucrecia Francisco Francisco of Ottumwa was charged with first-degree harassment, an aggravated misdemeanor, and second-degree burglary, a Class C felony.

On March 18 at 8:22 PM, court records say Francisco entered a residence on North Birch Street in Ottumwa. Francisco then physically assaulted a man and a woman in the home, striking them both in the face. Additionally, Francisco allegedly threatened to kill the man while inside his house.

According to the criminal complaint, the male victim suffered raised bruises on his face. The female victim suffered reddish-pink marks on her face. Francisco’s alleged actions were witnessed by another person in the residence.

Francisco was taken into custody and transported to the Wapello County Jail. She was freed after posting a $10,000 bond.
