Travis Lawrence, Public Information Officer for the City of Ottumwa, confirmed to Ottumwa Radio News that the city has hired its new Finance Director.
Cole O’Donnell comes to the City of Bridges from Keokuk, Iowa where he was the City Administrator and Finance Officer for the City of Keokuk since 2018.
O’Donnell has also worked for the cities of Dixon, Illinois (City Manager), Renville, Minnesota (City Administrator), and Denver, Iowa (City Clerk & Finance Officer).
O’Donnell takes over a position that was held on an interim basis by Jessica Kinser since last November when Wasem Nasir, the previous Finance Director, resigned.
Lawrence says O’Donnell is expected to start on March 4 and will most likely speak at the City Council Meeting on March 5.
