A Mount Pleasant woman was arrested after authorities say she provided marijuana to a minor.
27-year-old Chelsie Flanagan has been charged with drug distribution violation to person under 18, a Class B felony.
Acorrding to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, it received a report on June 13 of a juvenile in possession of drug paraphernalia.
An investigation was launched to find the person who supplied the minor with a controlled substance which led authorities to Flanagan.
On June 20, deputies from the sheriff’s office went to Flanagan’s home. Authorities say she admitted to providing the juvenile an ounce of marijuana. The alleged incident occurred on June 12.
Flanagan was arrested and transported to the Henry County Jail. She was later released on her own recogniscance.
Flanagan has a preliminary hearing scheduled for August 7.
