Officials say four individuals were arrested for their respective roles in a domestic altercation that took place before a July shooting in Moulton that left three injured.
32-year-old Amanda Clark, 49-year-old Robert Brewer, and 20-year-old Maliki Clark have each been charged with willful injury – causing bodily injury, a Class D felony.
Travis Clark, 46, has been charged with transfer of pistol or revolver to person under 18 – first offense, a serious misdemeanor.
On July 13th, 2026, at a home on the 200 block of East Third Street in Moulton, court records say Amanda straddled a male victim on the floor of the residence and struck him multiple times in the face as punishment for hitting one of his younger siblings. According to the Appanoose County Sheriff’s Office, Brewer held the victim’s legs and Malaki had the victim in a headlock during the assault. The victim suffered a bloody nose and a swollen face, according to law enforcement.
Authorities say it was Travis Clark’s unsecured firearm that 17-year-old Drakona Clark retrieved from Travis’ bedroom after the assault. Drakona is accused of shooting his estranged stepmother, brother, and his brother’s girlfriend. Their injuries were considered non-life-threatening. There were nine people in the home at the time of the shooting, four under the age of 18.
After the shooting, the sheriff’s office says Drakona left the firearm at the residence and fled on foot. He was later apprehended by authorities and treated at a hospital for injuries related to the earlier domestic altercation.
Drakona was charged with three counts of attempted murder and three counts of willful injury – causing bodily injury. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and has a trial scheduled for February 11, 2027. He remains housed in the Appanoose County Jail.
Amanda, Maliki, Travis, and Brewer were arrested on October 23rd, 2026 and transported to the Appanoose County Jail. The quartet are currently free after posting bond.
