Briggs Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street in Fairfield has reopened to the public following a temporary closure to accommodate construction of the new fire station, according to the City of Fairfield.
While traffic is moving again, motorists and pedestrians are advised to continue using caution in the area. Construction crews will still be moving in and out of the site as interior work is completed. An official move-in date for the Fairfield Fire Department has not yet been announced.
