Families and friends are invited to enjoy a festive Halloween evening at Eveland Access Campground, where decorated campsites, glowing lights, and the smell of campfires will set the scene for a fun fall outing.
Hosted by Mahaska County Conservation, the event will feature a nighttime drive through the campground, giving visitors the opportunity to view creative Halloween displays as campground residents compete for the title of best-decorated campsite.
Guests can pick up a voting ballot near the shelter house at the beginning of the route. After touring the designated route, visitors can cast their vote for their favorite campsite. Everyone who turns in a ballot will receive a sweet treat.
A suggested donation of $5 or a free-will offering will be collected to help support future campground improvement projects.
The event offers families a chance to enjoy the Halloween season, explore the campground, and take part in a community celebration.
