In celebration of National 4-H Week, October 4th through 10th, Jefferson County Extension is inviting area youth and families to a 4-H Find Out Night on Monday, October 5th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Activity Building on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, according to Jefferson County Extension County Director Courtney Burkhalter.
The event is open to youth of Clover Kids age — kindergarten through third grade — and 4-H age — fourth through twelfth grade. It will feature a variety of fun, hands-on activity stations. Families new to 4-H are especially encouraged to attend to learn more about the opportunities available through the program, and current 4-H members are invited to bring friends along.
The event is free and open house style, allowing families to come and go as their schedules allow. No RSVP is required and snacks will be provided. Those with questions can contact the Jefferson County Extension Office at 641-472-4166 or jefferson4h@iastate.edu.
