The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting teachers and school employees from Fairfield Community Schools, Maharishi School, Pekin Community Schools, Van Buren County Community Schools, and Cardinal Community Schools to its annual Teacher Appreciation Event on Wednesday, September 23rd from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center, according to a press release from the Chamber.
This year’s event is open to all school employees — not just classroom teachers. Attendees can enjoy food and drinks, visit booths offering classroom supplies and other gifts, enter to win gift baskets and gift cards, and spend time with fellow school employees from across the area. Childcare will also be available in a supervised kids’ room so parents can relax and enjoy the event. First-year teachers will receive a special gift.
The event is free to attend but registration is required so organizers can plan appropriately for food, supplies, and childcare. When registering, attendees should indicate which school they are with and whether they will need childcare. Registration is available online at the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce website or by emailing Claire at info@fairfieldiowa.com.
The Teacher Appreciation Event is presented by Nicolet National Bank.
