Nunn to Break Ground on New Wayne County Dialysis Center, Host Rural Health Care Roundtable

On Tuesday, August 11, Representative Zach Nunn (IA-03) will break ground on a new dialysis center at Wayne County Hospital, made possible by funding he secured through the Community Project Funding process. Following the groundbreaking, Rep. Nunn will host a roundtable with local health care providers to discuss his work to expand access to care for families in rural Iowa.

WHAT:
Rep. Nunn will join Wayne County Hospital leaders and local officials to break ground on a new dialysis center made possible by more than $2 million in Community Project Funding he secured for the hospital. The new center will expand access to life-saving dialysis care and help meet growing demand across the six-county region of southern Iowa, where Wayne County Hospital is the area’s only dialysis provider.

Following the groundbreaking, Rep. Nunn will host a roundtable with rural Iowa health care providers to hear how federal investments are strengthening care in their communities and to discuss his work to build a stronger pipeline of doctors and nurses for rural Iowa.
