Patricia Ann Fagg, age 85, of Monroe, passed away on August 2, 2026, at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa. A private funeral service for family and close friends will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe, with burial following at Silent City Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

Patricia was the daughter of Raymond Slocum and Sarah (Rice) Slocum. She was born on January 20, 1941, in Knoxville, Iowa. On August 8, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ronald Dean Fagg in Mexico. Patricia and Ron lived in Los Angeles before moving with their family to Monroe in 1967.

Patricia had a deep and abiding love for her family. She often said how grateful and blessed she felt to have all four of her children close by, weaving through her life week after week, year after year. As her children, we were blessed to know her not only as our mother, but as Patricia Fagg—the woman she truly was. She was easy to make happy, fun to be around, and her excitement over even small joys was contagious.  Patricia loved flowers and gardening. Many may not have known her by name, but everyone knew the yellow house on the corner, surrounded by blooms and hanging baskets overflowing with color. Her flowers were her signature, and they reflected her warmth, creativity, and care.

Those left to honor her memory include her four children: Kenneth Fagg and his wife Patti of Otley, Franklin Fagg of Monroe, Gregory Fagg and his wife Diane of Monroe, and Teresa Fagg of Monroe. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great‑grandchildren, and 8 great‑great‑grandchildren; her sister Lynda Slocum Brackenbury of Strafford, Missouri; her brother Ron Slocum of Strafford, Missouri; and her sister Shirly Inez of Covina, California.  Preceding Patricia in death were her husband, Ron Fagg, her father Raymond Slocum, and her mother Sarah (Rice) Slocum.
