Addington Place of Fairfield has announced the launch of Conscious Senior Living, a new approach to senior living that integrates wellness, healthy lifestyle choices, personal growth, and purposeful living into the resident experience, according to a press release from the facility. The community will celebrate the launch with a public open house on Thursday, July 30th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The initiative positions Addington Place of Fairfield as what the facility is calling a Destination Senior Living community — one intentionally designed for older adults seeking a lifestyle centered on well-being, connection, lifelong learning, and personal fulfillment.
Executive Director Josie Heilman said the new approach expands on what senior living has traditionally offered. “Senior living has traditionally focused on housing and care,” Heilman said. “Conscious Senior Living expands that vision by creating an environment where residents can continue to learn, grow, connect, and thrive. We believe this represents a new frontier in senior living.”
The Conscious Senior Living model includes healthy vegetarian menu options, expanded wellness and fitness programs, a dedicated Zen Room for relaxation and mindfulness, access to Transcendental Meditation opportunities, educational and personal growth experiences, and a holistic lifestyle approach designed to support physical health, mental clarity, emotional well-being, and personal fulfillment.
Unlike traditional retirement communities, Addington Place of Fairfield is positioning itself as a destination for seniors who desire a more intentional way of living — one that supports longevity, wellness, self-discovery, lifelong learning, and meaningful engagement. Director of Sales Rena Hamer said the concept is designed for seniors who want to live with intention. “We are excited to introduce a concept that offers a fresh vision for aging well,” she said. “Conscious Senior Living is about helping people live fully and purposefully at every stage of life. Guests attending the open house will have the opportunity to tour the community, meet team members, enjoy refreshments, and learn more about the philosophy and programming behind Conscious Senior Living.
