Beginning Monday, June 1, the 1500 block of North Van Buren Avenue will be closed to through traffic while crews complete sewer work in the area.
The closure is expected to remain in place through June 12, weather permitting. City officials say residents who live within the affected area will continue to have access to their homes during the project.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes to avoid delays. Drivers traveling near the work zone are also asked to slow down and use caution to help ensure the safety of construction crews and fellow motorists.
