Chris “Bubba” Anthony Dye, 58, of Ottumwa died peacefully at 3:02 a.m. August 5, 2025 at his home.
He was born December 27, 1966 in Ottumwa to Glen L. and Marcella J Millhouse Dye. Chris married Jeanne Kempf February 8, 1993.
A graduate of Cardinal High School Chris attended Lincoln Tech Auto Mechanic program. He worked 30 years for Falco Aluminum.
Chris enjoyed working on cars, welding, fishing, shooting guns, hunting, watching NASCAR especially Jeff Gordon. He also loved spending time with his family.
Surviving is his wife, Jeanne; 4 children, Jennifer (David) Monroe, Scott (Melissa) Ellis, Timothy Clawson and Brendon Clawson (Hailey) all of Ottumwa; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; 9 siblings, Shelby Fisher, Cheryl Reynolds, Richard Dye, Glen Dean Dye, Tamara LaRue, Jerry Dye, Mark Dye, Angela Ades and Tracy Schmider-Dye.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bryan Dye; and great grandchildren, Terran, Grayson and KayLee.
His body has been cremated and services are not planned at this time.
