Kristy Lea Kendrick, 33, of Ottumwa, died at 12:22 a.m. March 21, 2025 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born June 2, 1991 in Ottumwa to David Eugene and Kathleen Ann Nichols Kendrick Sr.
A 2010 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Kristy had worked at Tenco, AmericInn and Scooters.
Kristy enjoyed painting, outdoor activities and listening to music. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving is her son, Austin Kendrick of Ottumwa; her mother, Kathy Kendrick of Ottumwa; brothers, David Kendrick Jr. and Michael Nichols both of Ottumwa; sister, Deanna Conley-Kendrick of Albia; a special niece, Gia Nichols; and her beloved cat, Fefe.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Kathleen Bray and James R. Nichols Sr.; aunt, Cindy Robertson; and nephew, Gabriel Clarkson.
Visitation will be open at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28th at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
Cremation will follow the visitation.
Memorials may be made to the family.
