Patrick Leland Eugene Higbee, known to us as Patrick, was born in La Mesa, CA, on March 17, 1968.
Pat passed away on March 15, 2025 in Albia. An individual of quiet strength and unassuming charm, Pat’s life was one marked by his warm-hearted nature and his love for the simple pleasures this world offers. Despite his lifelong residence in Albia, Iowa only spanning a year, his impact was profoundly felt by those whose lives crossed paths with his.
A dedicated retail worker, Pat’s professional life reflected his commitment to service and hard work. He was a man who found joy in little things, a testament to his empowering spirit. Pat had a profound love for cinema. He cherished the escape it offered and the different worlds it allowed him to explore. His passion for film extended to his family, as he often spent memorable hours watching movies with them. His love for his family was as deep as the ocean, his bond with his sister Kimberly and family member Katie Shipman, unbreakable. He was the kind of man who appreciated solitude, but always had room in his heart for his loved ones.
He is survived by his son, Jaymes Frazier; siblings, Charlie (Chris) Higbee, Kim Higbee, Jason (Katie) Shipman; 4 nieces, 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Higbee and Charliene Shipman. Patrick’s life was a beautiful journey that touched many. His absence will echo through the lives of those who loved him, but his memory will always bring a smile.
