A number of City offices will be closed for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays including:
- City of Ottumwa departments and offices at City Hall will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Departments and offices will also be closed Wednesday, January 1 for New Year’s Day.
- The Ottumwa Police Department Records Desk will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 along with Wednesday, January 1.
- The Ottumwa, Calvary and Jewish Cemetery office at 1302 N. Court will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25. The cemetery office will also be closed Wednesday, January 1.
- The Ottumwa Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday and Wednesday, January 1 for New Year’s Day.
- The Ottumwa/Wapello Landfill and the Recycling Center will be closed Wednesday, December 25 and Wednesday, January 1. Both locations will close at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24.
- Trash and recycling normally collected on Wednesdays will be collected on Thursday, December 26 and Thursday, January 2. All yard waste, bulky items, and County collection will be collected on Tuesday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 31.
- Ottumwa Water and Hydro offices will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25 along with Tuesday, December 31 and Wednesday, January 1.
- The Beach will be closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25. The office will be closed on Wednesday, January 1 with normal lap swim hours.
