The City of Ottumwa is inviting residents and motorists to learn more about plans for the North Court Street Corridor Project during an upcoming public open house.
The project is currently in the design phase, and the open house will give community members an opportunity to review preliminary conceptual drawings and learn more about potential improvements.
Because North Court Street is one of Ottumwa’s most heavily traveled corridors, city officials encourage anyone who lives, works, or regularly travels along the roadway to attend and share their input.
The open house is scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Ottumwa City Hall, located at 105 East Third Street.
Representatives from Shive-Hattery, the project’s design engineering firm, along with City of Ottumwa staff, will be available to answer questions, discuss the preliminary concepts, and gather public feedback.
Community input will help guide the ongoing design process as the project moves forward.
Residents are welcome to stop by at any time during the two-hour open house.
