The Keokuk County Emergency Management Agency has received a $2,000 grant from the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation to support its drone search and rescue program.
The funding was used to purchase a Panasonic Toughbook FZ-55 laptop, which will be used alongside the agency’s Matrice 4T drone. The laptop allows emergency management personnel to better utilize the drone’s advanced search and rescue features in the field.
The agency said the Toughbook has been received, connected with the drone and checked for operational readiness, and will be incorporated into training and future emergency responses.
