Several Keokuk County communities have Halloween events planned for late October, giving families multiple opportunities to celebrate throughout the area.
In Keota, Thursday, October 29th will be a full evening of Halloween fun. Business trick-or-treat runs from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a Halloween party at Wilson Memorial Library from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. featuring hot dogs, hot apple cider, lemonade, and goodie bags. Around-town trick-or-treating then runs from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
In Sigourney, a Trunk or Treat event is planned for Friday, October 30th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on the Sigourney square. Those interested in setting up a trunk can contact Holly Ellis for more information.
In Keswick, trick-or-treating is scheduled for Friday, October 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In Richland, Richland Area Child Care is hosting a Trunk or Treat and Community Soup Supper on Friday, October 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the west side of the Richland square. Businesses and organizations are invited to participate by decorating their vehicle’s trunk and providing treats for children. A Fireman’s Soup Supper featuring homemade soups will be available for a free will donation. A Fireman’s Gun Raffle and Bingo will follow after the Trunk or Treat wraps up.
