Jane Ellen Draper, 81, formerly of Ottumwa died on October 9th, 2026 in Naples, FL.
She was born December 7th, 1944 in Ottumwa, IA to Betty Stufflebeam Paris and Bacil Paris.
The middle child of 6 children, she graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1963 and was married to Denny Draper for 55 years.
Jane retired as the shipping and receiving manager of PAMIDA retail store in 1992. She and Denny traveled the United States, Mexico, Canada and Overseas to the Holy Lands. They spent several winters in Florida but she enjoyed being home and working in her yard which she took great pride in maintaining.
As a decades long member of Calvary Baptist Church she attended faithfully and volunteered cheerfully.
Surviving are her children Matthew Draper of Estero, FL, Mark (Sue) Draper of Muscoda, WI, a grand daughter Keli(Nick) Moschitta of Fort Myers, FL a great grandson Tobin Moschitta, her sister Joyce Paris of Ottumwa and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Denny, her parents, brothers Jack Paris and Richard Paris, sisters Janet Fosenburg and Joanne Simmer.
Visitation will be open after 10 a.m. Thursday October 15th at Reece Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday October 16th at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Memorials may be made a local hospice of the donor’s choice.
