Cathy Lynn Tullis, 73, of Ottumwa died at 11:26 a.m. October 9, 2026 at Serenity Hospice House in Oskaloosa.
She was born May 14, 1953 in Ottumwa, the daughter of Bernard and Patricia Ann Leedom Shaw.
A lifelong resident of Ottumwa, Cathy graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1971. She had worked in the preschool at the YWCA for several years and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She passionately attended her kids and grandchildren’s ball games and dance recitals. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and getting together with her class of ’71 classmates.
Surviving are her children, Julie Park and Joe (Tina) Tullis both of Ottumwa; 4 grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Zack and Carter; a great granddaughter, Charlotte; a brother, Steve (Sandy) Shaw of Ottumwa; several nieces and nephew including a close niece, Katy (Cody) Paulus and their kids, Bodey and Callan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Kevin Shaw.
Her body has been cremated. Services are not planned at this time.
