A local production company is looking for community members who have personal knowledge or family stories connected to Fairfield’s Chautauqua history.
Fair Field Productions Director Dick DeAngelis said the company has already done extensive research on the subject but is hoping to hear from locals who can add a personal perspective. “We have done exhaustive research on Fairfield Chautauqua days from 1904 all the way through the early 1930s. What I am looking for is somebody else who can maybe tell a story or two of the Chautauqua days or has things from their parents about Chautauqua’s event.”
The company has already consulted with the Fairfield Public Library and the Carnegie Museum as part of their research process.
Anyone with expertise, memories or family artifacts related to Fairfield’s Chautauqua history is encouraged to reach out to DeAngelis directly at 641-919-4277 or dickd@deangelis.net. More information about the project can be found at fairfieldhistoryseries.com.
