Weather conditions helped advance crop maturity in Iowa over the past week.
According to the latest USDA crop progress and conditions report, Iowa corn is 96 percent in the dough stage, 79 percent dented, 17 percent mature, and rated 77 percent good to excellent. Soybeans are 6 percent dropping leaves and the crop is rated 75 percent good to excellent.
