Randall “Randy” Gene Roozeboom, 71, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026. Randy was born on August 23, 1955, in Washington to Everitt and Carla Roozeboom. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School.
Randy married Ronda Roozeboom on February 17, 1996, in Otley, Iowa. Together they made their home in Otley. Randy spent approximately 40 years working for Pella Corporation before retiring.
Randy will be remembered for his love of family, the outdoors, and the simple things he enjoyed in life. He especially enjoyed spending time outdoors with his grandchildren and making memories with them. He loved spending time with the horses and, for many years, took great pride in caring for them and the barn, making sure they were fed and watered and enjoying time riding them. He also enjoyed hunting and bowling. Randy was known as a helpful neighbor, often helping others with snow removal and lawn care, and always willing to lend a hand when someone needed it.
Randy is survived by his wife, Ronda Roozeboom; his children: Cody Schuring (Jill) of Pella, IA; Cally Dishman (Matt) of Des Moines, IA; and Dylan Roozeboom (Nikki) of Lacona, IA; his seven grandchildren: Taylor Dishman, Trenton Schuring, Jayce Roozeboom, Colson Schuring, Leo Roozeboom, and Hunter Roozeboom; his brother, Steve Roozeboom (Marsha) of Oskaloosa, IA; and his sister, Kristy Dill (Tracy) of Bemidji, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Remington Schuring.
Randy’s family and friends will remember him for his willingness to help others, his love of the outdoors, and the many memories they shared.
Randy will be cremated, and a private celebration of life will be held in his memory.
