Keokuk County Extension and Outreach is once again distributing Safety First Harvest Buckets to local farmers this harvest season and is asking the community to help nominate recipients, according to a post from the office.
The first 200 nominations submitted by September 30th will receive a bucket delivered directly to them, filled with goodies and essentials for the harvest season. Do you know a Keokuk County farmer who deserves to smile this harvest season? Nominate them before the deadline.
There are two ways to nominate a farmer. Complete the online nomination form at go.iastate.edu/ZJIAQG, or contact the Keokuk County Extension Office at 641-622-2680 or xkeokuk@iastate.edu.
Those who do not know a farmer to nominate but would like to contribute toward the buckets can also contact the extension office to find out how to help.
