The Keokuk County Courthouse clock tower is currently undergoing long overdue masonry work, including tuck pointing and other repairs both inside and out, according to a social media post from Keokuk County Supervisor Kevin Weber.
Weber said he is currently working on a grant application from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation to help fund the project and is asking community members to submit letters of support explaining why the courthouse is important and significant to them and the community.
Those interested in submitting a letter of support are asked to send it to Weber as soon as possible at kweber@keokukcounty.iowa.gov.
