The Ottumwa FFA is partnering with Troy Elevator in Blakesburg to host its annual Feed the Farmer event on Monday, November 9.
The event is an opportunity for Ottumwa FFA members to give back to local farmers by providing meals to those who work hard to keep the community fed.
Meal service will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until all meals are gone. Meals will be available for pickup at Troy Elevator, located in Blakesburg, Iowa. Delivery will also be available for farmers who are unable to leave their fields.
Organizers emphasize that farmers do not have to be working in the fields to participate. Anyone who would like a meal is welcome to stop by or request delivery.
The event will be offered through a free-will donation, allowing community members to contribute while supporting the effort.
“This is our time to feed you,” organizers said, thanking local farmers for the work they do throughout the year.

The Ottumwa FFA and Troy Elevator invite the community to help spread the word and make this year’s Feed the Farmer event a success.
